From Burglar Bill to Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland to James Bond, we had a huge variety of characters from our favourite books in school. The children really enjoyed dressing up and telling us about the characters they had come as. This year we concentrated on poetry as well as stories we love and encouraged the children to engage in a range of styles of poetry to see which they preferred. All day we have carried out activities designed to promote discussion about books and reading so that the children could talk about their choices. 
The fun continues tonight with our annual Book at Bedtime where the children return to school for a bedtime story and hot chocolate before going home to bed!
