Last week was our first Primary Health Week. All week, the children in Phase 1 and 2 enjoyed taking part in various health related activities.
It was lovely to see a good turn out for the parent and child healthy eating workshops and the information session on board the Life Bus.
We looked at the amount of salt and sugar in popular lunchbox snacks and then made a healthy wrap from a variety of healthy foods. We're looking forward to seeing some very healthy lunch boxes over the next few weeks.
A large number of children took part in 'Wake and Shake' every morning on the playground and all completed a 1 mile walk or jog. Despite the weather being so hot outside, they were very enthusiastic and there were lots of smiles to be seen.
In celebration of health week, our entire primary school also took part in Unity's largest ever ZUMBATHON! Proving exercise can be fun!
